The University of Waterloo will suspend our proof of vaccination requirements for entry to campus, effective May 1.

As has been the case throughout the pandemic, the evolution of the virus and the course of disease activity are difficult to predict, so this decision is contingent on current public health conditions and directions continuing.

If the situation changes, it may become necessary to bring back requirements for mask wearing and proof of vaccination on short notice. If this is the case, you will be notified in advance of Alumni Weekend what protocols will be in place for on campus attendees.

Alumni Weekend is open to anyone! While our programming has been developed with University of Waterloo alumni in mind, the event is open to students, faculty, staff, and our amazing community of supporters.

You are welcome to share the event with others, but ask that you do not forward your invitation email as it contains links that are unique to you.

You are also welcome to share messages, photos, and videos of your experience on social media, and ask that you use our hashtag #UWaterlooForever and tag us @uwaterlooalumni so we can like and share your messages!

International visitors to Canada must comply with the Government of Canada entry guidelines

Event refunds will be given up to 5 days prior to the event start date.

Masks are required for most indoor spaces at the University of Waterloo. At this time proof of vaccination will be not required, but if the situation changes it may become necessary to bring back requirements for proof of vaccination on short notice. We continue to strongly recommend that you have a full course of vaccination, including third or fourth doses when you are eligible. You should also ensure that you have access to your proof of vaccination and QR code if you have been vaccinated in a region that provides one.

All University of Waterloo alumni events will follow local public health guidelines (and provincial guidelines if applicable), and may be subject to change. Events may be required to be adjusted in terms of numbers, type of event (change to virtual) or may have to be cancelled. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes to safely deliver excellent alumni programming!

In order to visit the University of Waterloo campus, all visitors are required to abide by the university policies around COVID-19 as identified online at http://www.uwaterloo.ca/coronavirus/.

In response to alumni feedback, in 2019 we replaced our annual Reunion event with two unique events: Alumni Weekend and Alumni Black and Gold Day. Save the date for Alumni Black and Gold Day on Saturday, October 1, 2022 to attend a Warriors varsity game, educational and family programming and more!

Alumni Weekend activities will take place all across the University of Waterloo campus. The following lots will be open and free for the duration of Saturday, June 4, 2022:A, B, , H, L, M, N, Q, R, W. Use the Interactive Campus Map to determine what lot is the closest to the events you will be attending.
