If you are experiencing issues with the registration process, we are happy to help! Please email registration@alumni.uwaterloo.ca and a member of our team will support you. Please note that we will respond to your request during regular business hours. 

You will receive specific instructions on how and where to access the events you have registered for during the week of September 20. Please ensure that the email address provided during registration is the email where you would like all event details delivered. 

If you register for an event within 48 hours of the event start time, please refer to the registration confirmation email for event access details. 

We recommend that you enter the virtual event 5-10 minutes before the start time of the event you are viewing. This will give you time to ensure your connection and audio is working, and to view some of the on-demand video content available exclusively on the event platform.

When connecting to the event, please make sure to have:

  • A stable internet connection;
  • Computer speakers;
  • One of the following internet browsers to open the event link: Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Finally, avoid running too many applications on your computer, and using streaming services on your internet network during the event.

Alumni Black and Gold Day at home is open to anyone! While our programming has been developed with University of Waterloo alumni in mind, the event is open to students, faculty, staff, and our amazing community of supporters.

You are welcome to share the event with others, but ask that you do not forward your invitation email as it contains links that are unique to you. 

You are also welcome to share messages, photos, and videos of your experience on social media, and ask that you use our hashtag #UWaterlooForever and tag us @uwaterlooalumni so we can like and share your messages!

Event refunds will be given up to 5 days prior to the event start date. For the Concert in a Box, refunds can be requested until September 10, 2021, 5 days prior to the box shipping date.

All Alumni Black and Gold Day at home events will take place on the Hopin virtual events platform unless otherwise stated.Hopin is a virtual venue with multiple interactive areas that are optimized for connecting and engaging. You will be able to join and view events on virtual stages, join extended Q&As in breakout rooms, and have the option to network with other alumni and attendees.

The Great Waterloo Goosechase Scavenger Hunt will take place on the Goosechase app. All registrants will receive a link and code to participate in the scavenger hunt on or before Monday, September 20, 2021.
