The University of Waterloo Libraries empower the changemakers who are using their curiosity, courage and persistence to solve complex, global problems. The libraries advance the creation, discovery, sharing and use of knowledge through research, teaching and community collaborations. Your gift supports the acquisition and stewardship of distinctive collections, the enhancement of services to support researchers and students, and the development and care of the dynamic spaces across our libraries.
This Giving Day, we’re focusing on two impactful priorities that will shape the future of our Libraries: creating late‑night space that gives students and researchers after-hours access to the library, and honouring Special Collections & Archives’ 50th Anniversary by strengthening our ability to preserve and digitize rare and unique materials.
As a central hub for students, our libraries support their learning as well as their physical and mental well-being. A gift to this fund will help create a new late-night access space in the Dana Porter Library, providing students with a safe study area after regular hours.
Our unique collection of rare books and historical archives are curated to support Waterloo’s teaching and research programs. As Special Collections & Archives marks its 50th anniversary this year, your gift will strengthen our work to acquire, preserve and digitize these irreplaceable primary source materials. With your gift, you can be one of 50 new donors to help us celebrate this milestone!
