About the Office of Indigenous Relations

Your generosity will support the work of the University of Waterloo Office of Indigenous Relations through special projects, meeting unforeseen needs and enhancing the teaching and learning environment. It will also support the work to make Indigenous histories, cultures and languages visible on campus through Indigenous-led programs, activities and events.

A gift to the Indigenous Student Development Fund is an investment in Indigenous students and helps to address historical systemic disparities and discrimination, foster cultural diversity and enrich our academic environment and research perspectives.

A gift to the Indigenous Opportunities Fund supports our efforts on and off campus to advance the goals of the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, creating a long-term vision for the University that is grounded in decolonization.

Indigenous Relations' Priorities

The Indigenous Student Development Fund provides direct financial support to Indigenous students who are at risk of leaving school due to financial barriers, who are in need of funding for educational opportunities, or who face unexpected living costs.
