About St. Jerome's University

St. Jerome’s University opened its doors in 1865 and has been a founding federated partner with the University of Waterloo since 1960. We provide education to students in the Faculty of Arts (Honours Arts or Honours Arts and Business). Over half of all first- and second-year courses have fewer than 30 students. Our individualized wellness, stepped-care, wrap-around approach to mental health and student advising makes St. Jerome’s a unique place to study and live at the University of Waterloo.

St. Jerome’s service-learning programming — SJU in Peru and SJU Acts — provide students with opportunities to learn outside of the classroom to broaden their horizons and understand both global and local challenges, as well as the environmental, socio-economic, political and cultural factors that impact communities.
