Alumni, family and friends are invited to make memories this summer with an action-packed day of fun at Canada’s Wonderland on Alumni Family Day! All alumni of the Systems Design Engineering program (SYDE) and the Biomedical Engineering program (BME) are invited to join online for an update on the Department on Tuesday July 22 or Wednesday July 23 with the chair of the Department of Systems Design Engineering Dr. Lisa Aultman-Hall and meet the newest professors. Join UWaterloo's Seattle Global Ambassadors for a casual summer mixer at Lucky Envelope Brewing. Cool off with our annual Ice Cream Social in Waterloo Park, featuring lawn games and treats from alumni-owned Four All Ice Cream. Connect with alumni and hear from visiting UWaterloo students at this relaxed summer social in Singapore. The Warriors Baseball team is hosting their annual Golf Tournament at Grey Silo Golf club on August 22nd, 2025, beginning at 1pm. Proceeds from the event will help support the Warriors Baseball team throughout their season. Beat the heat with alumni at Britannia Park with free ice cream, lakeside vibes, and family-friendly fun! Join us at our Annual Alumni & Friends Golf Outing! Register for an afternoon of golf, followed by dinner in Grey Silo’s banquet hall! As always, all proceeds from the tournament will be directed to initiatives that enhance the educational and professional development of Waterloo Pharmacy students. Join UWaterloo alumni at the ballpark for a spirited Jays game, prime seats, and a special edition Blue Jays x UWaterloo cap! Join the UWaterloo Vancouver Alumni Chapter for a rewarding Grouse Grind hike, complete with a summit treat and one-way gondola ride down. Code of Conduct

To create a welcoming and harassment-free experience for everyone at University of Waterloo Office of Advancement events, all event participants, including attendees, speakers, volunteers and staff are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct in addition to venue or platform-specific policies and local laws, regulations and ordinances, remaining mindful of and taking responsibility for their speech and behaviour at all times. The Code of Conduct applies to all aspects of the main event and any related activities, whether digital or in person.

The University of Waterloo Office of Advancement does not tolerate the following:

  • Words or actions that are disruptive, disrespectful or degrading to others, including any messages, images or interactions by anyone, in any form, regardless of event location.
  • Harassment or discrimination based on citizenship, race, place of origin, ethnic origin, colour, ancestry, disability, age, creed, sex/pregnancy, family status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or any other characteristic protected by the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Occupational Health and Safety Act or applicable local laws, regulations and ordinances. 

We encourage all attendees to:

  • Participate in an authentic and active way.
  • Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
  • Attempt collaboration rather than conflict.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants.

We encourage everyone to play an active role in creating a welcoming environment. Please report any concerns, harassing behaviour or disruptive activity to event staff.

The University of Waterloo Office of Advancement, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to remove posts or comments as well as refuse admittance to or remove any person in violation of the Code of Conduct from an event at any time.

Office of Advancement events may be recorded. Images and audio may be broadcast, reproduced and/or made available in print publications, online or on mobile devices, and may form part of one or more audio-visual productions intended for initial release on the internet, television and on home or mobile devices. By registering to attend and attending an Office of Advancement event, you are consenting to the use of your appearance, image and voice in the production and in any promotion or use of the production in any media throughout the world.
